I have a dream

Yup. That's right.  I have a dream...let me tell you about it!

Today at approximately 3:00 p.m.  I figured out what I am supposed to do in terms of starting a business that will allow me to generate net worth.

First let me explain why net worth is important to me and should be important to you.  Net worth by definition means the amount by which an individual's assets exceed their liabilities. Simple, what I have in terms of property, businesses, and money and subtract what I owe and there you have net worth.  What is mine today...0, zero, nada, zilch.  That's a problem don't you think?

And fyi...black people typically don't accumulate net worth.  We are far too busy trying to play catch up on our bills to be forward thinking enough to own our own stuff and be generating wealth.

So I have come up with a plan to own a business that will address the issue of networth.  I would love to share the idea with you but I will wait until it is fully underway first.  The jist of it is that it is a business where I can capitalize on skills and strengths that I already possess.  After all, why reinvent the wheel when I can just realign it!

I officially have a dream.  Do you?

Light at the end of the tunnel

So many Christians will call what I am about to do giving a praise report.  It's basically a report on the goodness of their savior regarding some manifestation of a prayer or request to God.  Well since I am not religious I will just call it, giving you the facts.

So here's the fact!

Just yesterday I blogged about believing in the law of attraction.  One of the images that I posted was even an image of something that I wish to attract in abundance, MONEY!!!  This was just yesterday.

I was sitting on the couch with my honey and we were talking about the power of putting positivity into the atmosphere.  I must admit he agrees with me in my thinking but sometimes is a bit skeptical.  But not I!  I told him yesterday and today that we are going to be self-made millionaires.  I really believe that.  As two highly intelligent people we should be able to earn and attain as much money as we could possibly want!  I really do believe that!

So about 10 minutes ago he got a call about working overtime.  Now it isn't the millions that I know we will see before age 35 but...it is certainly a step in the right direction.  Let me back track though to just show you how powerful the law of attraction is.  He should have never been offered overtime at the fire department.  He is relatively young in the field and overtime assignments are typically only given to fire fighters with significant seniority, which he does not have.  Still $500 unexpected dollars are com ing our way.

We attracted money.  Not a lot of money but some money. My thought is if we can attract this on day 2, with persistence and a continuation of following the laws and secrets to life, love, and success, we can attract anything we can imagine!!!

Taking my future in my own hands

Last week I went through a really rough patch. I was pretty depressed, and I do not use that word lightly, about many situations. But most of all, money. Ahh money had me down in the dumps. There are so many things that I would do with it if I had more of it. Have a wedding...a really obnoxiously big one. Pay off my student loans. Buy a house. Buy that Range Rover I have always wanted. The list goes on and on and on and then on a littlebit more.

This all got me to thinking really big. I mean like Shaquille O'Neal big! I don't just want money. I want a happy life. And there are certain things that I would like in my life and future but if I don't tell the Universe what I want and need to make my future great, how will I ever attainthose things?

So my first step to taking my future in my own hands is to tell the Universe what I want. Now I didn't think of this idea. I read about it and so can you. If you can pick up The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It changed my thinking completely and now hopefully we can change yours and watch as all of our dreams come to life!

Here is the list of what's in my future, as far as a home. But the trick is to believe that it is mine. Feel the feelings that I would feel if it were mine. And never doubt that it is attainable. Our job is not to figure out how to get it, but to appreciate having it. The law of attraction which you will read about in The Secret will make sure that you get it as long as you believe it!

The First Step is the Hardest

Why is that? Why is the first step in doing anything worth doing, so difficult? Well, I can't answer that question today and I probably never will be able to. So regardless of how hard it is to take the first step, I am going to take it and I hope you will take it with me.

What is the first step? Writing this blog and reading this blog. That sounds pretty simple. I started writing it so we can check that off my list and I promise, and hope you will also promise, to read it periodically.

I have some initial thoughts on topics that I can blog about but I really don't want to make this too contrived. If any of my millions of readers...NOT...have ideas on things they would like me to blog about, just let me know. My goal is to create a blog that is open, free, and encourages us all to follow the laws and learn the secrets to Life, Love, and Success.

Many of these ideas will not be my own ideas. I have no problems telling you that I plan to expand upon the ideas, research, and perspectives of experts and nonexperts alike. But I will be sure to insert some of my humor and positivity into each blog.

So without further ado...let's get started class! (I have always wanted to say that.)
